Why do we lie?
Is it to protect ourselves?
Is it just a habit?
Or is it just human nature?
Its all of these things. But it is also because we are afraid of the truth, because if we except reality, the truth might just shock us into a state of mind that we can’t escape.
So we lie because sometimes we aren’t strong enough to face reality. Or sometimes it is because we find comfort in our little bubble of bliss built up by these lies.
The truth scares us because it is so real and confronting, and it smacks us in the face when we least expect it, leaving us with another black eye and a million things to reconsider.
At some point in our lives though we have to face reality and wake up to our denial. We have to look around and tell ourselves what we least want to hear. But most importantly we have to be honest with each other, because in the end that all we’ve got.
And I’m sorry (you know who you are)

All I want to say is…
WHY?!

To knit or not to knit?
Im a fashion student at college, and in my fashion class at the moment we are learning how to knit. When I started telling people about how I'm learning to knit and how much I'm loving it, I got completely shut down. I got told that only old ladies knit and that it was weird that I would like it.
NEWS FLASH! Its not just old ladies who knit!
Knits are in this season, so why not knit that jumper you want so badly yourself? Instead of buying a knitted jumper?... that, by the way, was NOT knitted by an old lady.
Here are a few of my favourite knits this season:

I've also begun to knit myself a really long thick black scarf. Wish me luck!

A love for the abstract
In recent times I've come to love abstract art, and in particular tasteful street art. I say tasteful because spraying your gang name on a wall isn't art... its graffiti...
There are a couple of French artists who I absolutely love... Their names: Nemo and André Renoux...
I don't know if many people will relate to this, but I've had this lithograph hanging in my house for my whole life. However up until this year I've never appreciated its beauty and value. It is a lithograph of Miles Davis before he died painted by Renoux.

Nemo is a French street artist. I've fallen in love with his style! His works are very simplistic with reoccurring characters, such as red umbrellas, briefcases, cats, balloons and a silhouette of a man.
